Hey Crawf. I thought the Reindeer games have gone really well so far. It was a little bumpy in the beginning because of the storm, but everything worked out well. The games ahve allowed us to actually use our leadership skills in a real environment with kids our age, which is so much ahrder to do than with younger or even older kids. The fact that almost everybody in the gym would listen to us really surprised me, yet at the same time, it didn't. If that makes any sense at all....Anyways, yeah I'm not sure how long this is supposed to be, but judging by the fact that I have a scroll bar in this window now, I suppose this will suffice. Til Monday!
I thought the reindeer games were/are a lot of fun. Although our team (The future winners of the Games, The Under Armour Assassins) didn't help as much as we wanted to with the actual running of the games, the set up and take down of the games were still enough to make me feel part of it. The games went really well so far, and the obstacle course is going to be crazy.
Hey there, i think they are going exceptionally well. better than i was thinking they would go, being as it is the first annual and all. it's great because we can all work on communicating with our peers which a lot of people find difficult. it's a lot easier to talk to a large group of people who are a lot older or a lot younger. the games are awesome for everyone which is really good. i really enjoy watching them and they look like a lot of fun to play aswell which is important. overall it's quite entertaining and i think it was a great idea. i really hope lockview does it again next year, and the year after that and so on and so forth. this is becoming quite long, ttfn.
I thought the Reindeer games went over very well! I was a little surprised how many teams signed up and how many people showed up to watch them. At the beginning of the games we didn't have the mic, so that made it a little more difficult to communicate with the teams. Although, we pushed through it and everyone listened, which made everything run smoothly. It was a lot different dealing with teens and not young kids. It was a good experience though to do this and I think after this year, classes will be able to build off what we already achieved to make the Reindeer Games even better! But in all, it was a great time and our class did a great job!
I thought overall the Reindeer Games were a success. We ran into a few bumps in the road (some which weren't our fault)... I guess the only problems that I saw that we ran into were some of the teams getting worked up because they weren't moving on to the next round. I thought the class worked really well setting up, planning, and organizing the games. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. I was pretty surprised that the teams were actually able to sit down and listen to our rules, and actually follow most of them. I hope that for next year other classes can continue to run and build off of our Reindeer Games, and maybe make it an annual thing. Well I guess that's all for now. Peace Out. -M
Hey Crawford. i loved the games, i felt they went amazing...The stor set back was hard to get used to at the start but after that they fell into place. I think all the groups did a great job with planning and everything. Some things i didn't think were right...AKA the team being let back in because they complained. Best part was the entrances The Under Armour Assassins came up with, They were awsome haha. The obstacle course i would have to say was the best event out of them all it was set up awsome good planning to the people that created it. The first annual reindeer games were awsome and even though im done this year i hope you keep them going. See you in class Crawford. Steveo
hey crawford thought the games went really well everone looked to be working hard on all the games .It was alot of fun to watch all the teams enjoy all of our work.their were a couple of un happy competetors but its impossible to make everone happy when you have to compete against each other. The biggest surprise to me was how intense everone got over the games.overall id call them a huge success
Hey Crawford, Alright i know you've been waiting for it so here it is. First of I want to thank everyone involved in the reindeer games. From our class, yourself, the teams, and the fans without everybody it would'nt have been possiable. But ye i really thought the games went well, for being the first time trying this I thought it went very smoothly. Dealing with a bunch of rowdy teenagers isn't the easiest thing, it really involves alot of patience and being in the competitor point of view for each game really showed me this. Thats something I did like too, seeing how each game was from the competitor point of view as well from the organizing point of view. It really gave you a better respect level for the person or persons trying to explain the game as about 1/4 of the teams were still talking. The amount of teams that came out too was a real good show, and the competition level was high. Even down to the reffing, solid job. Rachel we almost ran ya down on the last play of the obstacle course, but way to stay in there and make it fair for both teams. Props to whoever created the idea for the obstacle course, fun, challenging, and really needed your team behind you to win. Which brings me to my point of our reindeer games winning team. As stated by Andrew Carnegie, "Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." I couldnt have said it better myself, we won not because of people favoring our team over others. We won because of hard work, determination, keeping our eyes on the prize, teamwork, and our good looks. Enough said. But really I think we really started something here Crawford. Definaltly an annual reindeer games, we put the building blocks down for the next group of organizers to raise the bar and build upon. I look forward to seeing what the groups ahead of us will do. Another great activity with lots of leadership involved. But ye this is where I sign off, Thanks again.
The reindeer games were a great success, all games were run with efficiency and effectively and i think that we found a way to get the school-body involved in the games more-so then other events at the school have in the past, the main two reasons for this were, first of all great organization when it came to advertising and making people aware of the impending games week, and two, THEATRICS, it is my opinion that a lot of the buzz and attendance generated was because of the UAA.They showed up to boo, and to cheer I'd like to take this time to thank my the tournament organizers, teammates, my agent, and all the fans who supported us.

Hey mr.crawford, i thought the reindeer games went really good. Considering we just threw er together it was really popular. Lots of people got into it. theres stuff on facebok about it and and chirps flying around like mad. I wasnt there for the final but saw the video on facebook. the mic was a good idea and would have beeen nice the whole time. People in the class did a real good job stepping up and explained the games to large groups really good. There was some good active listening going on. I'd like to thank mike for writing a whole story about these games and using fancy quotes. Did you get your mom to write it for you? And finally i'd like to thank Collin Gates for being a great role model I can look up to and base my life around. Your a hero to us all.
So I thought the Reindeer games went very well. I am sorry to say I only got out to see two of the games. But the ones I did see where very good. I was also fun to watch the compitition between some of the team, and how involed they where. I'm sorry I had to leave my group and join another group. But that stuff happen and heard my original group's game went over great anyways. The group I joined after, are game was great the obstacle course. It was alot of fun running with only a few things that we need to work out, like penalty for knocking things over. All and all a great success. I think it should be made the annual Reindeer games:)
This is a bit late i know but i had troubles with it. Anyways on the topic of rienndeer games, like everyone eles has said, they were bomb. The whole concept of students assembling a team to win pizza was a pretty good start. Although it was a great team building and socal event it was lots of fun. Having participated in every game made it even more fun. I got to taste every game to its fullest and i must say it was satisfying. Although it was only the first reindeer games much oppertunity lays open in the future for better ideas and games, even fundraisers for christmas families. I must say crawford you out did us with your great idea. Hope it returns next year!
So I finally figured out how to do this, better late than never. I think that the reindeer games went very well. The fact that we were able to get so many people out and involved in the school is quite impressive. Everyone worked together and when there were problems we had each others backs. I think that having people from the class participate only made the games better because they got really into it and it made other teams and other students get excited about it too. The games seemed to run smoother each day because people learned from other groups. For example having the mic was definitely a big help in being able to let everyone know what was going on. I think that our class has set the bar pretty high for the future organizers of the games but hopefully the games will continue.
hey crawford finally posting my blog. I would have to agree with what everybody else said. for being the first of its kind it went so much better than i would have expected. i was there for most of the games and everybody seemed to do a very good job on organizing and managing their games. I was really suprised on the fan turn out and how intense everybody that competed got. I almost thought that a fight might break out. but ya overall everything worked well and im sure that this will happen again next year and thanks crawford and jacob for the pizza. Good job everybody.
Hey Crawford. yeah yeah finally getting my blog up. so yeah about the reindeer games. they seemed to go pretty smooth over all and the amount of interest towards it was more then i had expected; although there were a few minor setback... but thats to be expected with trying something new. i really enjoyed watching the events when i got the chance. i really liked the sleigh race and the obstacle course and i think everyones favorite was the obstacle course. the crowed loved it. you could hear them cheering for certain people and laughing at others. Over all i believe it was a great success, hopefull this is the first annual reindeer games. p.s thanks for the pizza jacob and crawford
