Leadership and social networking

Our world is very inter connected with many new forms of social networking: (Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Blackberries, Second Life) Our school board doesn't allow these BUT some schools do. What are the pros and cons of this. Feel free to put down any thoughts and comment on others.
